Our understanding of automizing EMC test is oriented to our customers needs. Here are some examples
of past projects:
- The EMC test system is controlled with standard EMC software (RSUS). EUT monitoring: The diagnosis tool places
it´s ASCII data via the serial interface (RS232). RSUS and the diagnosis tool can be linked
with a simple device driver.
- The EMC test system is controlled with standard EMC software (RSUS). EUT monitoring: The diagnosis tool places
it´s data via the serial interface (RS232), but there is a special procedure needed to collect this data.
So, that special procedure was implemented into a
DLL. The DLL acquires (and processes) the EUT data and makes
the date usable for RSUS.

- The EMC test (and also the EUT monitoring) shall be controlled by the diagnosis computer.
Hence, it is necessary that the EMC test system is controlled by the diagnosis computer. This is realized by running a
custom-made software
(slave module) on the EMC control computer.
- The diagnosis tool doesn´t provide an interface to communicate with other applications.
So, the communication routines of the diagnosis software have been modified to run under Windows and
implemented with a
custom-made software.
That software controls both the EMC test and the EUT monitoring.
