It is a common way to connect the K line via RS232 (serial interface) to the diagnosis computer. The converter to do this is very simple: Just take an automotive K line transceiver. |
That transceiver has a Tx port and a Rx port with TTL levels, just as it is needed for a serial interface. The only thing you now have to do is to take a MAX 232 to convert the TTL signals into RS232 signals. |
